Pierre has been at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles for fourteen years and followed the Scientific Baccalaureate program. Aside from his academic studies at the Lycée, he is a student at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, where he studies Violoncello, Composition, and Music Theory. He also participates there in various ensembles including one of the school’s Honors Quartets and the Colburn Chamber Orchestra. Pierre has studied violoncello and composition in France and Austria at various international music festivals. His compositions have been performed both locally at the Colburn School and internationally at a public concert in Austria and his cello playing has earned him a place in the Colburn School's Honors Recital among others. In 2006, he played professionally in the Hollywood theatre production of Stephen Sondheim’s "Into the Woods," and received third prize in 2007 at the ASTA regional cello competition. He performs regularly, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, at events ranging from church services and charity events to recitals and award ceremonies. In the fall of 2009, he will attend the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in Ann Arbor where he plans to further pursue his artistic studies.
