I’ve attended small schools for the past 13 years (7 of which took place at Lycée) and loved it. While growing up, my first hobby became storytelling, which I picked up somewhere around the age of 5, spending lunch on the merry-go-round trying to spin tales for anyone willing to listen. Next up came my passion for math, which was mainly composed of solving algebraic equations and word problems. In 5th grade I started putting my stories on paper and taking piano classes and then in 7th grade I picked up Harry Potter fan fiction and poetry. Writing stories and poems, doing math, and playing
the piano continue to play a big part in my life. In high school I started on my community service for college and ended up discovering something else I enjoyed. My favorite part was volunteering at a daycare for kids from low-income families in Brazil.
Another addiction of mine is traveling. I’ve spent several summers in Lebanon and Brazil visiting family, as well as in a few European cities, touring with my dad. Now with high school over, I’m off to Yale (after many tedious hours of trying to decide among Yale, Pomona, and UCLA) to hopefully study Neuroscience, with perhaps a double-major in either Applied Mathematics or English.
