CM2 Grade 5 Celebrates Earth Day
Posted April 30, 2012
Last week, to celebrate Earth Day, students of CM2 collected research on the Earth. They focused on animals and biomes of the earth. First, they collected the research from books from library or home, websites, videos, and magazines. Some of the topics chosen: Cheetahs, The Mustang horse, The Gray Wolf, The Rain Forest, Snakes, The Arctic, The Eurasian Kingfisher, The Snowy Owl, Elephants, Whales, Seals, Dolphins, Endangered species, and Forests. Groups presented their findings to the class with visual, audio, and "collaborative effort.” Some made posters, others dioramas, drawings, and still others sewed their animals! All in all, it was a great way to celebrate our wonderful home, and bring awareness to our planet!
Projects and Presentations, educational and fun!
