Today, the co-chairs of the Gala Committee, Denise Burnett, Fatima Harmi, and Christine Stafford, announced the theme to this year's Gala. Wolfman Jack, Chuck Berry, Annette and Frankie, spinning platters with Dick Clark's original American Bandstand, the prom when the prom was the prom, cars with opulent fins, and enough Brycreem to resolve the oil crisis - that's the 50's. The 50's is King on April 8, 2010.
If you are not currently involved in the fabulous fifties fun of this year's Gala, you are always welcome to help. It's never too late. Please write the Committee and let them know that you are the sort of hep cat that wants to be involved in this swingin' party. The Gala was announced today at The Raymond and Esther Kabbaz High School. Here's a hint: You might want to be looking around for some Brylcreem and Poodle Skirts.
