“Featured on the website of the French Embassy in the US for Black History Month, former Lycée parent and the lady who I called “my second mother”, Eartha Kitt was much more than my best friend/sister’s mom. She remains one of the most influential people in my life for her incredible work ethic, moral code, healthy lifestyle, huge heart, kindness, and her lifelong love of learning. She was fluent in French and dedicated to French culture. In the 1960’s, when her daughter Kitt started as a “Lycée Lifer”, Eartha Kitt never failed to perform, entertain, lecture and volunteer her time and resources to our institution and students until much after her daughter graduated. Alumni Kitt Shapiro (formerly McDonald) has also just written a commemorative book called Eartha and Kitt.” – Le Lycée President Clara-Lisa Kabbaz

Our 9th Annual Career Day will be Thursday, April 1 - ONLINE!!
Each year speakers with different expertise generously share their professional experience and their time with over 240 LyceeLA students (8th-12th grade).
Throughout the day, students participate in sessions tailored to their career interests. We try to select guest speakers covering a wide span of professional fields, while also trying to vary the participants from year to year. That’s why this year we want YOU! We need 30 to 40 minutes of your time to share your passion via a ZOOM meeting!
