Our 9th Annual Career Day will be Thursday, April 1 - ONLINE!!
Each year speakers with different expertise generously share their professional experience and their time with over 240 LyceeLA students (8th-12th grade).
Throughout the day, students participate in sessions tailored to their career interests. We try to select guest speakers covering a wide span of professional fields, while also trying to vary the participants from year to year. That’s why this year we want YOU! We need 30 to 40 minutes of your time to share your passion via a ZOOM meeting!
Penpals during Covid - 5th graders (CM2) in Mme Meurisse's class wrote to isolated elders in France before the holiday break and their new friends have written back!
And here are a few photos of the happy faces from the "I Have a Dream Foundation" - and the toys/items they were able to purchase with your generous donations.
In addition to the Virtual Toy Drive, the Lycee raised $10,200 for the VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVE benefitting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank! They were so grateful for our donation, that they featured LycéeLA in their recent newsletter: Team #WeFeedLA Spotlight.
In lieu of hosting a Book Drive in the Spring, we will host another VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVE benefitting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank as that seems paramount for so many families struggling during this challenging time.
If you would still like to donate books (including text books up to 5 years old), please visit ReBook-It HERE for more information.
We are extremely happy, deeply touched and proud to have Desobry Bowens back in Los Angeles and that his children attend our school.” - Clara-Lisa Kabbaz
