Music, Choir and Bands
Every student should receive a comprehensive musical education to establish the foundation for a lifelong relationship with music. At LycéeLA, music is taught in all grades, and students can join the Choir (4th-8th grade) as well as Rock bands in middle and high school. Piano lessons are also offered as an extracurricular activity.
Drama
Drama classes are scheduled within the school day. Additionally, courses for those who wish to pursue performing arts to a higher level start are offered in high school. Student performances take place at Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz, which is part of Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, and a non-profit institution dedicated to the promotion of art and culture in the Los Angeles area. Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz is the only theater in Los Angeles to dedicate a significant part of its programming to French language and culture. This 220-seat theater welcomes multidisciplinary and multicultural shows: theater, music, dance, lectures, screenings.
Dance
Dance is a beloved performing art with wide appeal. LycéeLA offers a variety of styles like Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Performance dance at different skill levels. These classes serve as extracurricular activities, culminating in an annual recital where students showcase their talents and hard work from throughout the year.
