It must be summer, just fun, fun, fun!
Join us June 18 - July 27, 2018 for camp!
Whether your child is in preschool, or already attends elementary, or middle school the summer camp at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles is THE camp to attend!
When you arrive at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles on a summer camp day you will find every bit of the 10-acre Overland campus bustling with activity. From sports to cooking to computer workshops and more, our summer activities are designed with the age groups of our campers in mind. Your child is bound to have a fun-filled day with us!
Campers are grouped by age into one of two sections: Chipmunks and Barracudas!
Chipmunks. All children MUST be 4 years of age at start of camp. For kids exiting 1st grade and younger, Chipmunks will be on campus at all times following a main teacher to different classes led by specialty contributors throughout the day. The classes planned by our team ensure that the kids remain enthusiastic and don’t get bored! Our water safety trained-swimming instructors have been part of our camp for ten years and have structured one of the most popular classes of the day; our cooking chef is also a long-time Lycée teacher and will have the kids whip elaborate recipes (French classics included) and learn about ingredients and produce in an exciting environment; and our soccer coaches teach after school classes during the year…
Barracudas. Not to be outdone, kids exiting 2nd through 8th grade enjoy activities based on a more flexible agenda: every morning is dedicated to on-campus classes ranging from arts and crafts, computer and drama workshops to yoga and cooking classes. The choice of class mix is up to each Barracuda so they guaranteed to stay active and engaged! Afternoons are reserved for sports, games, and… field trips!
Our campers go home each day ready to rest!
But wait, there’s one more thing… If you, parents, still need a break, campers who are 8 years old and older are invited to attend our summer sleepovers!* Sleepovers occur every other Friday which means that the campers stay at school for a full day and night – from Friday to Saturday morning! What can we say except, “you’re welcome!”
Sleepover evenings begin with games, followed by a barbecue and a dip in the pool. After that, campers watch a movie and then head to bed in tents set up outdoors on campus grounds. Who can say they have slept over at their school? We make it happen!
*must be 8 or older; by invitation from the camp directors.
