The Arts

Theater Raymond Kabbaz
Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz, as part of Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, is a non-profit institution dedicated to the promotion of art and culture in the Los Angeles area.Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz is the only theater in Los Angeles to dedicate a significant part of its programming to French language and culture. This 220-seat theater welcomes multidisciplinary and multicultural shows: theater, music, dance, lectures, screenings. The programming evolves around a dual orientation of educational shows and shows linked to francophone and international culture. The theater is also the home of student performances from preschool through twelfth grade.

Art plays an important role in the life of Le Lycée students. From the exploratory fingerpainting of preschool to the art shows of elementary school to the serious art classes in middle school to the AP Studio Art classes of high school, the fine arts weave their way dynamically through the life of the school. The most popular field trips are those to the many wonderful art museums in the Los Angeles area. These informative trips open new vistas and creativity to all students who attend.

One of the most popular activities at the school is the choir. Students from elementary school, middle school, and high school rehearse weekly throughout the year for their holiday shows, their performances during dramatic presentations and talent shows, and their recording sessions with world renowned artists.

Presenting songs from both French and American sources, this notable group of young people with their beautiful voices and exuberance are wonderful ambassadors of Le Lycée's spirit.
